Johnson at his place of employment (Public Works), Mr. Johnson stated the
subject had worked for him during two summer positions with the Illinois
Department of Transportation. Mr. Johnson was the resident engineer at the time.
Mr. Johnson seemed very impressed with Mr. Smith, commenting specifically on the
subject's excellent work ethic. Reference was made to the subject's punctuality
and dependability, and to the fact that Mr. Smith would complete his work
assignments and would ask for other assignments. Mr. Johnson also stated he was
impressed with the subject's paperwork and would consider Mr. Smith an asset to
any firm. Finally, when asked if Mr. Johnson would rehire the subject, he replied
with a definite yes.

responsible. Upon asking Mr. Garcia for any additional information, he made a
point to add that the subject was an independent worker who did not need
immediate supervision to complete work assignments. Finally, Mr. Garcia

he had contemplated trying to secure a position for the subject at his place of
employment.
